31.01 - Annual Subscriptions Due
|
|
|
|
According to the Annual General Meeting held on the 6th of January the committee have now set the Annual Subscription fee for 2004 at £50.00 for the year up front, or £5.00 per month, whichever suits you more. However, we have also decided that you must pay up front or by direct debit - no more cash payments per month please as it is a nightmare to chase people up!
Please ensure you hand in your subscription form (now downloadable) along with any initial or full payment by the end of January to the Secretary,

06.01 - Annual General Meeting
|
|
|
|
The third Annual General Meeting for the Dragon Slayers will be held on Tuesday 6th January 2004, at the regular meet at the Gas Club. If you're a Dragon Slayer member - or, indeed, a prospective one - please make sure you can attend because if you don't you won't have any say in what happens in 2004, and judging by the amount of traffic on the forums in the past year a lot of people have a lot of things to say. However, we'll be trying to run the meeting separately from the gaming, unlike last year, so be prepared for only one game that night.

30.12 - Christmas Games & Curry Night
|
|
|
|
The Gas Club have kindly allowed us to use the premises for an all-day Christmas gaming bash again, starting at 10am and finishing at around teatime. We'll be playing Warhammer mostly I suspect and we've also combined it with the club's annual Curry Night at the Modhu Miitha in town (hopefully). Make sure you can get down - it'll be a right laugh!

20.12 - Summer Blood Bowl Finals
|
|
|
|
The
Summer Blood Bowl 2003 league's Finals Day has been booked for the 20th of December, a Saturday, at the Gas Club. There'll be quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final itself, but there will be three things to play for - a plate for the quarter-final losers, a cup for the semi-final losers and a shield for the final!

14.01.03 - Annual General Meeting
|
|
|
|
With the Dragon Slayers being a "proper" club these days, by law we must hold Annual General Meetings every year, and we've decided they should fall in line with the subscription year. There'll be an Annual General Meeting every January (there was one in 2002, but only the Committee attended), and in 2003 it will be held on the second club meet of the year on the 14th. If you're a Dragon Slayer member - or, indeed, a prospective one - please make sure you can attend the Gas Club, because if you don't you won't have any say in what happens in 2003, and I'm sure you want to.
There'll be plenty to talk about too, with the first year under our belt...

17.12.02-07.01.03 - Club Meets Over Christmas
|
|
|
|
If you didn't know already, the Gas Club won't be opening very much over Christmas and New Year, and the Dragon Slayers are affected, unfortunately. The nights of the 17th of December, 24th of December and 31st of December are not available to us, but I believe we start back on the 7th of January.
