the games we play

We play quite a few different games - mostly Games Workshop ones, of
course - but there's one that dominates all the others. We play it so much
we're actually quite good at it, dontcha know...
|

What game do you play most?
|
|
|
|
Warhammer Fantasy Battle is the game we all play, and we play it very
well - we're quite successful in Warhammer tournaments and are often seen
amongst the top placings, even our lesser-known members. Some of us have
played it since the first edition came out twenty-odd years ago, and
consequently we have some very experienced (meaning old) players indeed. In
short, if you're looking for a club at which you can play Warhammer at a
very high standard, the Dragon Slayers is the club for you!

What about 40K?
|
|
|
|
Er... not really! Very few of our members play 40K regularly, but a game
can always be arranged, and most of the kids who turn up at the club meet
play 40K anyway. We're not too bothered by this; most of us love the imagery
and background, but hate the game, so it's very difficult to motivate anyone
to play. Still, there are plans afoot to change this, and no doubt you'll
see a few Dragon Slayers at 40K events around the country... one day!

Do you play fanatic games?
|
|
|
|
Sometimes! Quite a few of us enjoy a blast of Blood Bowl or Mordheim or
Necromunda now and again, and we're actually planning on expanding our
gaming to include more. Most of us have a Blood Bowl team or have access to
one, so if you're a fan of that you're assured of a game.

|

Anything else?
|
|
|
|
Yep - a few of us are Warhammer Ancients players, and the members of the
Mansfield Wargames Club play shedloads of others. Armati, Shako and the like
are their bag, but we generally stick to Warhammer style games.

What do you play at tournaments?
|
|
|
|
Mostly Warhammer Fantasy Battle - it's the game we're most successful at,
too - but we are branching out into other genres at the moment. In other
words, we play most things at tournaments!
