This internal tournament was actually organised as a warm-up for the
Mansfield Maul in March, a test for the new scoring system more than anything else, but with the intention that we'd hold a "proper" internal just like it every year. It turned out rather better than we'd hoped, although there was a taste of things to come with a major computer problem, but it certainly taught the organisers enough about running a tournament to be able to hold bigger ones in the future. The scoring system worked well and it was also a very cool event with some excellent players; job done, then!
