Winter Warhammer is the second Warhammer campaign for the Dragon Slayers in recent years and will run through January, February and March of 2004. All games must be played at the regular club meet at the Gas Club and, apart from the obvious draw of a cash prize for the winners, the campaign is being run to ensure Dragon Slayer members play each other regularly and not just the same few people all the time, which will hopefully raise spirits as well as skills.
To enter, players just have to declare their next game as a campaign one, with all scores recorded and averaged over the length of the campaign. The player with the highest average wins. Simple, eh?

Wahey! The campaign gets off to a great start with six games played and lots of bashing:
Singe Frost even managed to get two games in! Keep it up chaps!

The campaign's gaining ground now, with a total of fifteen games from two club nights, and already there's a few players to note...
Singe Frost's Tomb Kings were going great guns until pulled up a little by
Pete Scholey's Beasts of Chaos, and
Paul Corcoran's Skaven are proving rather nasty indeed. Keep it going boys!

Ten games, the most yet played in a single night, ensured the campaign is going from strength to strength. A few newcomers, notably
Jason Annett and
Adrian McWalter, have really shaken things up! All told we have eighteen players partaking, a sterling effort by the chaps and one that should be recognised. Nice one boys!

Just the eight games tonight on this, the fourth week of the campaign. A third of the way through so far and things are looking pretty tight... who will break ahead?
Andrew Chesney is looking good after four wins and a draw, but there's still plenty of games to play!

GW UKGT Finals this coming weekend - a few people were trying something different!

A bit better tonight... eight games played, although it would have been more had
Rob Lane managed to remember the correct miniature cases. Still, at least
Andrew Chesney beat
Adrian McWalter in what was reckoned to be only two turns. For shame.

Just over the half-way point and things are beginning to shape up... ten games last night with plenty of action, including relative newbie
Richard Paget beating
Martin Bunting and the game of the campaign so far between
Rob Lane and
Andrew Chesney!

Adrian McWalter in quick succession... it seems there's no stopping the rise of the new lads!

Ah, that's better. Seven games, seven stories - with the top three playing each other there could just be a chance for those in the background to steal it at the death... with young
Richard Paget storming up the table thanks to two more wins, who knows what can happen in the penultimate weeks?
