Winter Warhammer 2003
Winter Warhammer is the first of many (well, that's the plan) Warhammer campaigns for the Dragon Slayers, with each campaign lasting three months, in this case January, February and March of 2003. However, this has now been extended to April because of the change in points value. All games must be played at the regular club meet at the Gas Club and, apart from the obvious draw of a cash prize for the winners, the campaign is being run to ensure Dragon Slayer members play each other regularly and not just the same few people all the time, which will hopefully raise spirits as well as skills.
To enter, players just have to declare their next game as a campaign one, with all scores recorded and averaged over the length of the campaign. The player with the highest average wins. Sounds simple doesn't it? Well, it should be - a simple mind devised it...

The final week and seven games fought to finish it all off!
Nathan Hoole played two games to try and take down
Paul Corcoran but it was not to be: he only managed to shoot himself in the foot by losing one of them to
Michael Biggs!

That's it - the final Leaderboard and it's pretty much all change underneath
Paul Corcoran, who's still first even though
Nathan Hoole abused him somewhat... but it didn't work and would you believe it,
Pete Scholey's reclaimed second place somehow. As well as that,
Rob Lane's sneaked into third! How did that happen? He didn't even play on the final week!
That's it chaps - thanks for taking part and see you in seven for the prizes!

In general, the campaign will be a Warhammer Fantasy Battle sixth edition one, with an initial points value of 2,500 points, changing to 2,000 after the
Sheffield Slaughter. The usual Dragon Slayer Scoring System will be used, but there will be no "soft" scores such as sportsmanship and painting, nor will there be scenarios. The campaign is designed to be very free and easy so that anybody can simply turn up and play, the only restrictions being the army books and your own imaginations. You don't even have to use the same army from week to week!
For complete information on the rules used in this campaign, have a look at the Winter Warhammer Campaign Rules page or download the Winter Warhammer Campaign Rules Pack provided for entrants.
