Winter Warhammer 2005
It's that time of year again - the Winter Warhammer campaign is becoming rather legendary, which is all very nice, but it's down to the players to keep up that reputation of close-fought games and fantastic camaraderie, so you lot had better get down the club and get some games in!
As always, players just have to declare their next game as a campaign one, with all scores recorded and averaged over the length of the campaign. The player with the highest average wins. Simple, eh? |
There we have it folks: the end of the Winter Warhammer for 2005, with Pete Scholey taking the top spot from Martin Bunting at the last gasp! In third came Rob Lane, who also played the most amount of games - thirteen out of the ninety-six!
Whilst it's been the poorest Winter Warhammer yet in terms of support it's still been pretty good. Only six players made it on to the Leaderboard this year but hopefully everybody enjoyed their games, and spare a thought for those who contributed but ultimately won't get anything back for their efforts, too - hopefully next year they'll come good!
See you then!

With the amount of games being played throughout the campaign this page becomes very large, so to save your download times and your eyes, check out the
Winter Warhammer 2005 Results Archive page if you'd like to see the results from previous weeks!

As normal the campaign will use the Warhammer Fantasy Battle sixth edition rules, with armies selected up to 2,000 points. The usual Dragon Slayer Scoring System will be used, but there will be no "soft" scores such as sportsmanship and painting. However, the new Scenario Cards as used in this year's Sheffield Slaughter may be used if both players agree. The campaign is designed to be very free and easy so that anybody can simply turn up and play, the only restrictions being the army books and your own imaginations. You must use the same race every week, although you are able to change your list somewhat. If you're unsure what we mean by that, ask!
For complete information on all the rules relevant to this campaign, have a look at the Winter Warhammer 2005 Rules page.
If you have any questions to ask, the Campaign Organiser - Rob Lane - will be happy to answer them!
